I thoroughly enjoyed reading Partners With Paws. I was one of the service dog trainers who worked with a couple of the dogs in the stories. The ones I didn't work with personally, I know of pretty well because I know their trainers. partners or organizations. These dogs are great in their training but once they are partnered and form that special bond, there is no end to what they can and will do, even on their own. They are extremely sensitive to their partner's needs and these stories tell that so well. Anyone who has or is training a service dog will enjoy and nod in agreement to much of what is written. I, took would have liked to see more organizations and/or individuals featured in the book.Product details

I both laughed and cried reading this book. The stories are well written given that the authors of each story are not professional writers. If you know a dog lover this book is a great gift. If you are a dog lover treat yourself with this book.
This book makes you realize the bond people have with thier animals. As well as shows you how well the animal kingdom is there to assist their owners. Very well worth every penny. Cannot wait for a follow up. Thank you.
Very cute book. It has a lot of the prison inmates stories in it which is ok. The stories are great and informational. However it would have been awesome if there was owner trained dogs stories as well.

I purchased the book because part of the proceeds were going to go to the organization that I puppy raise for. When I started reading the book it was overwhelming with feeling with love for the dogs, the owners, the trainers and those all involved. These dogs are so special and so are the people that are involved in training the dogs (puppy raiser or a person in the prison program or the organization trainers...etc..). They make such a difference in their partners lives. Saying that though I enjoyed the book I would have like to see more variety of organization. I don't know how they are picked to share their stories. There was a couple of organization that had between 8-11 stories and then many organizations that were only mentioned once or twice. It would have been nice to see an even balance and even an article written from the founders of some of the organizations would have been nice to read to see their background and how they decided to start their organization.
I have an assistance dog and wrote one of the stories in this book. I always knew how special my dog is and the bond we share. However, when I read this book it made me cry. The stories are so powerful and the dogs are intelligent and selfless. Also outstanding is the courage of the owners and the inspirational stories they shared. I have given this book as a gift to several family and friends and they all have loved it. This is definitely a five star! Congratulations to Kyla Duffy, Editor in Chief for a real WINNER!
